A Watertown school will reopen Wednesday after some exploding tiles forced classes to be canceled Tuesday.Tiles in the cafeteria started to buckle and explode Monday at St. Henry's Catholic School.
"And I looked at the tiles on the floor. (They) were raising up and flying across the kitchen floor. So, we got out of the cafeteria and told the kids to go up to their classrooms. Eventually, they were evacuated," St. Henry's Cooking Manager Diane Dannenberg said. "It looked like the movie 'Tremors' where something was tunneling underneath the floor."
Some described exploding, but the floor definitely buckled. The city's building inspector said the part of the building affected was built in 1952. Investigators are looking at all sorts of possibilities to explain why these tiles lifted off the ground. After 20 years as the city's building inspector, Joe Heimsch said he was baffled after first looking at this basement.
"My hope is it's some kind of sanitary line that was improperly abandoned, and it could have came up, and that would have caused the same type of effect," Heimsch said. "The worst-case scenario is actual foundation movement. I'm hoping that's not the case."
Heimsch told 12 News Tuesday afternoon that there was nothing life-threatening or dangerous at the school, but lunches will definitely be affected, regardless of the buckling's cause.
"If they return back, they're going to be bringing bagged lunches. I'm afraid this kitchen will probably be down the rest of the year," Heimsch said.''Hot lunches for St. Bernard Catholic School in Watertown are also affected.Students will not have to make up the missed time because they didn't have any snow days this year."

Flying Saucer Over Himalayas 2012
This footage was apparently filmed by a couple flying home from holiday. We can see a saucer shaped object flying next to the plane, then it appears to lose control slightly, possible turbulence ,and then its seen accelerating and shooting off at tremendous speed in the opposite direction. Is it real guys or cgi, im 50/50 on this, my feeling is cgi mainly because the film-maker has not come forward, but as always you decide.

Mysteries: Theia-The Lost Planet
About 4,500 million years ago, when the solar system was still little more than a project for making a huge Mars-sized object collided with Earth. One of the prevailing theories say that it was a planet named Theia, which struck so violent. Impact of the shot out into space a lot of debris that eventually they united to form the Moon, now look at the sky.
This is the most widely accepted story of the origins of our natural satellite, a story that a team of scientists from the University of Chicago has put a new 'but'. Researchers have analyzed the isotopic composition of the Earth and Moon and discovered that is very similar, too similar. Both have not even found the remains of the second colliding object.
The research, published in the journal Nature Geoscience, raises more questions than answers. Is it that there was no crash? So how the moon formed?
Geophysicists compared Titanium isotopes and Earth and Moon, they say, are too similar to support the theory that the moon may have formed with the material of a second planet.
Scientists had already discovered that the oxygen isotopes in the mantle of the Earth and Moon were almost identical, but that was not enough to undermine the theory that a collision with Theia had created the Moon, because the terrestrial oxygen isotope could isotopes have been mixed with the mass of molten material that surrounded the planet after the impact. However, the isotopes of titanium are not as easy to change.
Most scientists agree that if a planet crashed into Earth and the Moon was due to the impact, the moon should also be made of that other planet, at least 40%. If that's the case, why studies of the rocks brought back by the Apollo missions show no evidence of this planet?
Some suggest that the Moon was the result of an impact, but parts of the Earth that were launched into orbit due to a faster turn what is now known.
Unfortunately, there is no evidence to support the idea that Earth once came to turn at that speed. Others suggest that perhaps was not a planet that collided with Earth, but an object made of ice, which would have evaporated, leaving no evidence of the swipe.
And some, despite the new evidence, still cling to the belief that Theia could have been another "mother" of the moon, if the world were made of the same material as our blue ball, that is, that isotopes are the same.
The odds that this is so are quite rare, but not impossible. Scientists hope new research will one day provide a definitive answer. For now, the questions are more than answers.

GIANT SNAKE!
This rare photo (circa 1970) of this giant, deadly Australian King Brown snake is sourced discretely from a 4th generation rural land holder in the Broken Hill region of far Western NSW, Australia. King Brown snakes typically reach around 3 meters in length; the one featured in the video above is conservatively estimated at 5.5 meters or nearly twice the average adult male in size.
It is therefore highly likely to be the world's biggest ever King Brown Snake captured on film (we apologize for the somewhat poor quality of this aging photograph -- we did our up most to ensure a crisp image, but the reality is it's over 40 years old and taken on inferior equipment of that time).
A King Brown snake growing to such a giant size would need both extraordinary genetic pedigree and extremely favorable environmental circumstances.

Tremors and Booms Spread To Montello 2012
A big noise in the small town of Clintonville has turned into a mystery that's gaining national attention. As of this morning there are no reports of booms or ground shaking, but over the last three days hundreds of residents have called 911 after hearing strong earth rattling booms.
Last night people gathered for a town hall meeting at the high school to voice their concerns. Many are worried the unexplained tremors will only get worse. The city is renting seismic monitoring equipment, hoping to find the epicenter of the strange tremors. The equipment is set to arrive tomorrow.
However, This may be just the beginning of the "booming mystery." Strange sounds are also being reported about 80 miles away in Montello. Police there are also investigating the similar booms. Tuesday night officials received several reports of a loud noise around 5:30 a.m.
They checked to see if anyone was drilling or doing underground work but came back empty handed. Residents from Montello say they're not crazy! In fact, they didn't even hear about what's going on in Clintonville until after they started doing some research online.
Strange UFO Fragment Falls Over Siberia 2012
Russian space experts are seeking to solve the mystery of a "UFO fragment" which crashed close to a remote village in Siberia.
The 'fragment' does not appear to come from any known missile or space technology. Russian space experts will make an announcement shortly.The 'silver U-shaped device' weighs 200 kilos, has does not appear to be a rocket or a missile - or a remnant of earthly space technology.
The 200-kilo metal fragment was examined for radiation. A theory that it's a remnant from a rocket launch in Kazakhstan also appears to be mistaken.'The object found is not related to space technology. A final conclusion can be made after a detailed study of the object by experts,' said the Russian space agency Roscosmos.
Locals insist the metallic object - resembling a large shiny rubbish bin - fell from the skies. The object is six feet long and is at least partially made of titanium steel.
It's now under police guard as interest in the 'visitor' intensifies.It was found near a village called Otradnensky some two thousand miles and three time zones east of Moscow.
The Russian media immediately claimed 'fragments of a UFO' were discovered in the remote forest.
Locals had heard strange sounds in the thick woodland in December, it was claimed. But it was only on Sunday that the find was reported to local police who then alerted Moscow.
Weighing 200 kilograms and around two metres in height, locals fixed it onto a trailer and took across the snow to the village where local inspectors checked it.
Yuri Bornyakov, head of rescue service department of Kuibyshevski district of Novosibirsk region, said: 'We measured the radiation level near and inside the object. We found no radiation here.'
Initial theories that it was part of a space rocket or a satellite form a failed launch in Kazakhstan have been denied.Head of Department for Civil Defence and Emergency Situations of the Kuibyshevski, Valery Vasiliev, said part of the fragment was made of ultra strong titanium.
Finder Sergey Bobrov undertook in an official statement that he would keep the UFO safe, but locals reported that 'police came during the night and secretly removed it'.A local police spokesman confirmed the object was now under guard by the force on orders from unspecified authorities.
'You can see inside it, all is open, it's empty, no danger here. We were asked to take and store it. We brought it here. And now we are going to wait until they come to take it if they need it' said Sergei Sulein.
The mistery of the'' beam'' in a Spanish church
Each March 21 an unique light phenomenon occurs in the Romanesque church of ''San Juan de Ortega'' (Burgos). About six o'clock in the afternoon (the five solar time), a beam of light penetrates the temple and falls accurately on a capital located in the entrance arch to the north chapel.
The fact there would be nothing special if not for the spire is lit representing the scene of the Annunciation, the Virgin Mary receiving the announcement by the angel of his miraculous conception.
The fact is described in numerous texts and guides as "the miracle of light," and no wonder, considering that coincide with the spring equinox is celebrated precisely the feast of the Annunciation (March 25).
Clearly, the singular spectacle (which is repeated in the autumn equinox on 22 September at six p.m. solar time) was intentionally sought by medieval master builders.
The'' light beam illuminates'' the womb of the Virgin Mary, remembering each year on that date, according to Christian tradition, there was the announcement of the miraculous conception. Thus, the Holy Spirit would be represented by the divine light.
Although spectacular, the fact is that it is not the only example of this type is known. There are many other similar examples, not always recorded in the equinoxes and other meanings, distributed in different parts of European geography.
Also in Romanesque church of Santa Marta de Tera, Zamora, on March 21 also takes place a similar phenomenon (weather permitting).
In this case, the light show takes place on the nine o'clock (the eight solar time), when a "beam" of light enters through the oculus of the apse, illuminating a capital that is left of the header.
This capital represents the "righteous soul" or the risen Christ, so in this case the miracle of light is an evocation of the resurrection.
Interestingly, for much of the Middle Ages there was a tradition that dates related to the actual equinox time of the birth of Christ, his death and the birth of Adam.
Outside Spain, this type of light shows that mix art, religion and astronomy, had a magnificent example in the famous Scrovegni Chapel (Padua), decorated by the Italian painter Giotto.
There, for centuries, each March 25 (date of consecration of the chapel) a beam of light penetrated to impact the divine halo around Christ's head at the scene of Judgement, increasing its supernatural aspect.
This curious detail went unnoticed for many years, since the state of the chapel had hidden the phenomenon, until investigators discovered the unique "assembly" during a restoration in 2002.
To increase the dramatic effect, it appears that Giotto on the walls included three mirrors reflecting the light, enhancing the magnificent spectacle.
The above are just three examples related to the spring equinox, but there are many more related to other dates in the Christian calendar, we will see in due course.
Of course, the medieval builders were not alone in developing this type of "games" mystical architecture. As we shall see also in the past, Egyptians and Romans, among others, were real masters at creating these unique "miracles of light".

A strange smell in the Fond du Lac sewer system is causing concern, but the smell isn't what you might think.
Fond du Lac Fire Chief Peter O'Leary tells FOX 11 workers at a pumping station on Brooke Street noticed the smell Tuesday afternoon.A closer look in a nearby manhole revealed a strange substance in the sewer that caused an unusual odor in the pumping station.
O'Leary says firefighters placed containment booms in the sewer system to stop the substance from flowing further down the system.
O'Leary says they believe the substance is a type of cutting oil from a nearby scrap iron facility. He says samples have been sent to a lab for testing.

The magical use of the ''Seal of Solomon''
The Seal of Solomon is a six-pointed star that has a remote sources and has been used for different purposes by many cultures: protective talisman to alchemical symbol or mere decoration.
For centuries, before the popularization of the name "Star of David" or "Magen David" (literally "Shield of David"), this emblem was called "Seal of Solomon" ('Khatam Suleiman' by Muslims and ' Khatam Shlomo 'by the Jews).
Different texts, especially the Babylonian Talmud and some accounts Muslims spread the legend that the biblical King Solomon had a ring with magical properties through which the demons could control or talk to animals. This gem was engraved with the symbol of the hexagram, to which was added the secret name of God.
According to experts in symbology, the sign of the hexagram has a similar meaning as in yin and yang, as representing the opposite, as well as a link between heaven and earth or ideographic Reflection of superhuman wisdom.
However, the best known use was always the protector of his character and magical, without it being tied to any particular religion.Thus, in the Middle Ages it was common to find amulets and talismans which reproduced the Seal of Solomon, usually with the star in a circle and accompanied by several points.
At that time it was thought that these drawings were protecting the wearer from the influence of demons and evil spirits, or just bad luck.It was also common to record this symbol on the doors of the houses or on the steps of the stairs, with the same protective character against the spirits or to potential fires.
The expert in Kabbalah Gershom Scholem thoroughly studied the symbolism of the Seal of Solomon and his magical protective function both in Islam as in Judaism, and spent many years tracing its origins.The oldest use of this symbol known by the Hebrew people, massively-goes back to the fourteenth century, when the Jews of Prague used it as a sign of identity.
However, it was not until the late nineteenth century, the Jewish nationalist movement, when it acquired the sense that we know today. But yes there are some representations with very few Jewish character of this star-in earlier times, as the so-called 'Leningrad Codex'.
The magical use of this symbol does not end here. It was also widely used in alchemical iconography, so that is found in numerous works on the "Great Work" as an emblem of fire and water.
Similarly, the Masons also included among the hexagram symbols, so it is not surprising to find in some decorative elements of the lodges, as well as objects and works of art of Masonic character.Not surprisingly, the Temple of Solomon is one of the most important elements of Freemasonry.
On the other hand, it is common to find the Seal of Solomon in some medieval Christian buildings, either as decoration or as a symbol of divine wisdom.
A superb example we can see on the facade of the cathedral of Burgos, which are several representations of the symbol in both the main and distinct rosette sculptural reliefs. The same happens in one of the facades of the Cathedral of Valencia.
